10th Little Flyer to Make NCAA Plans

The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that Little Flyer Defenseman Steve Mallory has committed to attend Amherst College in Amherst, MA to continue his education and playing career.  Mallory, who is a 5’9 175lb Right Defenseman, joined the Little Flyers at the trade deadline from the Philadelphia Revolution. In 81 career EHL games Mallory scored 4 goals and chipped in 14 assists for 18 points. He also notched 2 powerplay goals and 6 powerplay assists. One of his goals was a game winner in that time. “Steve spent the great majority of his EHL career with the Revolution and their staff did an excellent job of helping him to develop his skill set and work ethic.” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “When Steve joined us we got a young man with excellent character, a top notch compete level and a great addition to our defensive core. I was happy to assist in his placement to Amherst College, which is a top academic institution and a great hockey program”. Mallory said, “I definitely enjoyed my time with the Little Flyers. Coach Russo and my teammates accepted me into the locker room like I had been there from day one.” Mallory also added, “I would like to thank Coach Laux and the Revolution staff for everything they did for me as well as Coach Russo and the Little Flyers staff for bringing me in. Both organizations helped me very much and I would not have been able to reach my goal of becoming an NCAA Student-Athlete without them both.”

Steve is the 10th Little Flyer to make his NCAA Plans this season, joining Nick Skerlick (Lebanon Valley) John Nugent (Lake Forest), Drew Gannon and Garrett Gallagher (UMASS-Boston), Zach Felser (Suny-Cortland), Blake Delisle (Trinity College), Jacob Paluch (Nazareth College), Cody Slocum (Worchester State) and Greg Procopio (Lawrence University)
