Asst Captain Berry Commits to SUNY-Oswego

12th Little Flyer to Make NCAA Commitment

The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that Little Flyer Assistant Captain Cameron Berry has committed to attend SUNY-Oswego to continue his education and playing career.  Berry, who is a 6’0, 190lb Right wing, played in 54 regular season games over 2 seasons for the Little Flyers. After joining the Little Flyers late in the 2013-14 season Berry netted 9 goals and dished off 14 assists for 23 points in only 12 regular season games. In the playoffs he was equally as effective scoring 2 goals for 5 points in 7 games.  In the 14-15 season Berry played 42 games, scoring 21 goals and 23 assists for 53 points, finishing tied for 2nd on the Little Flyer roster and 8th overall in the EHL. In the playoffs Berry was flat out dominant, scoring 7 goals in 6 games for 8 points while leading the Little Flyers to Back to Back EHL Semi Finals appearances.  In his 54 total regular season games he had 28 Penalty minutes, 6 Powerplay goals, 15 Powerplay assists, 3 Short-handed goals and 4 Game winning goals. “Cam is one of the most complete players I have ever had the opportunity to coach.” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “He is a 2 way player with an extremely high hockey IQ and a compete level to match. More importantly he is a great teammate, leader and role model. Oswego is getting a fantatic young man that will make a great impact both on and off the ice for their University.” Berry said, “I would like to thank my parents, teammates, Coach Russo and Coach McCarthy, Mr. and Mrs. Giacobbo and Jerry and Suzanne Malorgio for the great experience I had in Philadelphia.” Berry also added, “I am very excited to begin my college career at SUNY-Oswego. I am thankful to Coach Gosek and his staff for giving me this opportunity and can’t wait to help the Laker’s win a National Championship.”

Cameron is the 12th Little Flyer to make his NCAA Plans this season, joining Hector Majul (Curry College), Steve Mallory (Amherst), Nick Skerlick (Lebanon Valley) John Nugent (Lake Forest), Drew Gannon and Garrett Gallagher (UMASS-Boston), Zach Felser (Suny-Cortland), Blake Delisle (Trinity College), Jacob Paluch (Nazareth College), Cody Slocum (Worchester State) and Greg Procopio (Lawrence University)
