Turducken, Gucci Mane & More

Each day from now until Christmas we will sit down and talk to a player from the Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League Junior Team to discuss the holiday season.  On day twenty one we talked to defenseman #26 Chris Best

  1.  Favorite thing about Christmas or Winter?  "Everyone seems to be a little nicer, and that I have time off of school and hockey to see my family”
  2. Favorite Christmas tradition growing up as a kid? “My dad and I used to eat salmon and cream cheese and also we would play the game where you hide the Christmas pickle ornament on the tree and we would fine it”
  3. What are you looking forward to most this holiday season?  “Having Oleg stay with us for Christmas
  4. Favorite Christmas Food?  “My parents always make something good, usually a standing rib roast, that is the go to though”
  5. Favorite Christmas Movie?  “A Christmas Story”
  6. Favorite Christmas Song?  “I have a lot of other songs that I listen to a lot near Christmas but I like when I hear an artist make a new remake of old music, so I’m going to say “St.Brick” by Gucci Mane is my Christmas Song”
  7. Most Memorable Christmas? “When my vegan aunt made a turducken which if you don’t know what it is, it’s a duck stuffed inside a chicken, inside of a turkey.  Not to mention this was the first meat meal my aunt had attempted to cook in her life.  Needless to say, it ended not so well, since she wouldn’t try it I had to be the guinea pig and try it, then had to pretend it was good then watched the rest of my family have to eat a plate of it afterwards and pretend the same thing”
  8. Best gift you’ve ever received? “Going to Russia”
  9. Worst gift you’ve ever received? “Chocolate Axe”
  10. Do you shop early or last minute? “Last Minute”
  11. If you had to pick either Kevin McCallister from Home Alone or Ralphie from A Christmas Story to play in a defensive pair with who would it be? “Definitely Ralphie”
  12. Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? “Hot Chocolate”
