Narrigan Named Little Flyers EHL Assistant Coach

Aston, PA – The Philadelphia Little Flyers, Proud members of the Eastern Hockey League, announced today (Tuesday) they have hired Michael Narrigan, as the assistant coach for the EHL team.  Narrigan, is very familiar with the level of competition in the EHL, as he was an Assistant Coach for the Connecticut Nighthawks during the 2015-16 season.  Most recently Michael was the head coach for the Exton Bulls of the NA3HL.  “I’m honored to join such a great organization; the Little Flyers have enjoyed so much success recently and have done a great job advancing players to the next level.  I am looking forward to joining Coach Lewis’s staff and continuing to develop our players.  I’m very excited to see how far we can take this team” said Narrigan.  Narrigan joins Little Flyers EHL 1st year head coach George Lewis and EHL Premier head coach Mark Catron on the organization’s Junior Hockey coaching staff.     

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing from Penn State Berks in 2014.  While attending Penn State Berks, Narrigan played for the ACHA Division 1 team.  As a Pennsylvania native, Michael played his youth hockey for the Exton Kings organization and moved on to play high school hockey for Spring-Ford High School.  Michael’s coaching career began as an instructor for the Denike Goaltending Academy run by Terry Denike.  “I’ve known Mike a long time so I know he is brining some good experience to our team this year, his background as a goalie will help to develop our players at that position.  Mike also coached in the EHL a few seasons ago; he knows how competitive our league is and what it’s going to take to win” said Little Flyers EHL Head Coach George Lewis upon announcing Narrigan as the assistant coach. 

The Little Flyers EHL season begins Saturday September 9th on home ice against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.
