EHL Co-Captain to Make NAHL Debut

Aston, PA – Philadelphia Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League defenseman Nick Daluisio will be wearing a different jersey this weekend.  The 1998 birth year defenseman and Co-Captain of the Little Flyers EHL team has been called up to the North American League’s Amarillo Bulls for the team’s weekend series against the Lone Star Brahmas.  Daluisio, a local product has been playing for the Little Flyers since his youth hockey days.  In 14 games played this season, Daluisio has scored 4 goals and added 13 assists for 17 points.  He currently leads all EHL defenseman in scoring and is tied for the league lead in game winning goals with 3.  It's been a whirlwind of a week for Daluisio who played for the EHL All-Stars against Plymouth State and U-Mass Boston last weekend.  Daluisio then came back to Aston to lead the Little Flyers to a 5-1 over cross town rival Philadelphia Jr. Flyers on Tuesday.

“This is really good for Nick, our organization and the league; I think it shows the EHL has players good enough to play up at the next level even during the season.  As for our organization, we have a long history of being a good competitive team, placing kids in college and are willing to advance our players into good opportunities and this year is no different.  This is not only a good thing for Nick because of him going to the NA this weekend but we have other opportunities for other guys coming up as well.    Nick had a really good all-star weekend which now gave the confidence to Coach Russo to give me a call about Nick for the weekend.  This is going to be a really good experience for Nick.  He’s been playing really well for us all season long in all situations, nothing real flashy; he’s just a good solid player that plays his position well.  We have all the confidence in the world in Nick as a player and as a leader and know he is going to be a really good college player at the next level.” Said Little Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron when asked about what this opportunity means to Daluisio and the Organization.

Daluisio will be around plenty of familiar faces in Amarillo as the Bulls are coached by former Little Flyers EHL Head Coaches Rocky Russo and George Lewis.  On the ice, Daluisio will join former youth teammate Alex Peterson who played the 2016-17 season under Russo for the Little Flyers EHL team.  Brett Abdelnour, another Little Flyers and EHL alum is currently tied for 3rd in the NAHL Scoring race.  The 6’2” defenseman will be wearing number 20 when he makes his NAHL debut this weekend.
