Street Set to Join Mustangs This Fall

Aston, PA – The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce 1998 birth year defenseman Cade Street has committed to attend Morrisville State College in the Fall of 2019 to continue his education and hockey career.  Street, a 6’4” 225lb defenseman from Sun Valley, Idaho is in his second full season with the Little Flyers EHL team.  In his first season, Street played in 42 regular season games, scoring one goal and adding four assists.  “First and foremost Cade brings us great leadership in our locker room which really helped a lot with our team, having a lot of new faces here.  Cade overcame an injury early in the season but has come on real strong as the season has progressed.  In the second half we thought not only his point production was up but killing penalties and in 5-on-5 situations he has been big for us.  He’s a good sized kid and he’s stepped up the physicality as well.  Morrisville State was Cade’s top choice all year long so we are happy everything worked out for him and his family” said Little Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron.  As coach Catron mentioned, Street has stepped up both offensively and defensively this season.  In 43 games played Street has scored 3 goals with 12 assists, of those 15 points 12 have come in the 2019 calendar year.

“I am very excited to announce my commitment to SUNY Morrisville to play college hockey and continue my education.  I want to start by thanking my family for their endless support throughout my hockey career.  I want to thank coaches Mark Catron, Mike Narrigan, and George Lewis for giving me the opportunity to play juniors for the Little Flyers and the Giacobbo Family.  Finally Thank You to Coach Krogol and Coach White for giving me the opportunity to pursue my academic and athletic career at SUNY Morrisville” said Street upon making his commitment.

The SUNY Morrisville Mustangs are members of the State University of New York Athletic Conference under Head Coach Kevin Krogol.  Street, is the third Little Flyers defenseman to make his college commitment this season.  While compiling an impressive team record of 40-3-1 in a record setting season, the defense in front of Little Flyers Goalies Brendahn Brawley and Tommy McLarnon set a new EHL record only allowing 73 goals against over 44 games.  Street and his team look to head back to the EHL Frozen Finals in March with playoffs beginning next week for the Little Flyers.  On behalf of the entire Little Flyers Organization we congratulate Cade and his family and thank Cade for everything he has done and represented in a Little Flyers uniform.
