EHL Premier: Offense Heats Up in 7-1 Win

Aston, PA – The Little Flyers Premier teams lone game of the weekend came at home on Sunday against the expansion New York Bridgemen.  The Little Flyers offense dominated the first ten minutes of play in the opening period.  Patrick Price tallied the first Little Flyers goal of the day after a Jon Rineer shot was initially saved, Price was there waiting to hammer home the rebound.  Line mate Ronnie Higgins was also credited with an assist on the play.  Thirty six seconds later, Tyler Efymow extended the lead, taking a feed from Kelly Stroik circling towards the slot, Efymow fired a wrist shot into the back of the net for his first goal of the season.  The Little Flyers lead grew to three in the first period thanks to the line of Steven Roccia, Kelly Stroik and Tyler Ruppert.  After keeping the puck in the Bridgemen end, the three caused a little chaos in front of the New York goaltender until Roccia was able to find the loose puck and tap it home.  The Little Flyers lead 3-0 after the first period, outshooting the Bridgemen 18-1. 

Elliott Schon remained hot, scoring his 4th goal in as many games less than a minute into the second period.  Schon’s goal was assisted by Nicholas Bouchard and Jake Reifer.  Five minutes later, Shane Green’s Power Play goal gave the Little Flyers a commanding 5-0 lead.  Again it was Bouchard with the primary assist with Schon collecting the secondary helper for his second point of the game.  Seventeen seconds after the Green Power Play goal, Dylan Sangmeister scored his 3rd goal of the season thanks to helpers from line mates Schon and Jake Reifer.   Sixteen seconds later, Ronan Plummer scored his first career with the Little Flyers on a shot from the point, Plummer’s goal  came courtesy of an assist from Patrick Price. 

The third period saw the Bridgemen come out and score their lone goal of the game just ten seconds into the final twenty minutes of play.  Cassidy remained sharp throughout the period, making 10 total saves in the game as the Little Flyers advanced to 4-0 on the season with the 7-1 win.
