Aston, PA -- Little Flyers Girls Hockey Weekend Round Up 10/12 & 10/13 2019

19U – Saturday, the Little Flyers Girls 19U team hosted the Armstrong Arrows from the Pittsburgh area.  Allie Corser-James led the Little Flyers offense, scoring two goals in the 5-3 Little Flyers victory.  Hannah Gordon made 26 saves in net, including some key stops down the stretch to maintain her teams lead.  Lindsey Coffey and Julia Weiss each had two point games, tallying a goal and an assist a piece.  Lexi Lombardi added a goal of her own with Maddy O’Malley picking up an assist.

16U - Saturday, the Little Flyers Girls 16U team traveled to Maryland for a non-league game against the Montgomery Youth Girls team.  Sydney Babin made 21 saves in net for the Little Flyers.  Trailing 1-0 after the first period, Babin and the defense fought off a strong second period by Montgomery, stopping 11 of the 12 shots she faced.  Montgomery added two quick goals in the 3rd period to take a 4-0 lead with 12 minutes left to play.  Emma Besa lit the lamp for the Little Flyers at the 4:33 mark, assisted by Evelyn Hill.  Besa’s goal was the lone score of the game for the Little Flyers who fell by a final score of 4-1.
