Bredeson Set to Join Mustangs in the Fall

Aston, PA –The Philadelphia Little Flyers, Members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce 1999 birth year defenseman, Soren Bredeson has committed to attend SUNY Morrisville in the Fall of 2020 to continue his education and hockey career.  Bredeson, a 6’ 160 LB defenseman from Eagles, Colorado is in his second full season with the Little Flyers EHL team.  In his first season, Bredeson appeared in 49 total games, scoring 6 goals and adding 12 assists in his rookie season at the Junior Hockey Level.  “Soren really stepped up for us this season and took on a larger role both on and off the ice.  We lost five really good defenseman who all made NCAA commitments last season, so there were some big shoes to fill with Soren being the only returning player on the backend.  He really stepped into a leadership role, being named Assistant Captain earlier in the season and played through a few nagging injuries throughout the season while never missing a game.  Our entire organization is really proud of Soren and happy for him making his college commitment to Morrisville, he really worked hard and earned every opportunity he’s been given here” Said Little Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron earlier this week.

“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to SUNY Morrisville to continue my academic and athletic career in the Fall of 2020.  I would like to start by thanking my family for the endless support throughout my hockey career.  I would like to thank Coach Catron for giving me a home for the last two seasons with the Little Flyers organization.  Thank you to Coach Krogol and Coach Azzano for giving me the opportunity to pursue my athletic and academic career at SUNY Morrisville.   Thank you to C20 hockey group for the support.   Finally, I would like to send a special thanks to Kim and the Norris family, my amazing billet family for the last two seasons.   I am excited to be a part of the herd” said Bredeson after making his commitment official this past weekend.

The SUNY Morrisville Mustangs are proud members of the State University of New York Athletic Conference led by seven year head Coach Kevin Krogol.  As Coach Catron mentioned, Bredeson took on a larger role this season, and has played in all 44 of the Little Flyers regular season games thus far.  In those 44 games, Bredeson has scored 12 goals and added 17 assists in his final season of Junior Hockey.  There will be a familiar face at Morrisville when Bredeson steps on Campus this Fall as his former defensive partner from last season, Cade Street is currently a defenseman for the Mustangs.  On behalf of the entire Little Flyers Organization, we would like to congratulate Soren and his family on committing to Morrisville and we thank Soren for everything  he has done in representing the Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization.
