Aston, PA -- The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce, Cameron Lindsay has committed to attend Framingham State University in the Fall of 2020 to continue his education and hockey career.  Lindsay, a 6’0” 175lb Forward/Defenseman from Commerce, MI was a member of the Little Flyers EHL team for two seasons.  In those two seasons, Lindsay played in 95 games, scoring 27 goals and adding 32 assists for 59 career points.  “Going into the season, we were counting on Cam as a top six forward, and as the season progressed we needed help on the blue line, he jumped back to play defense without a complaint, he was truly a team first guy.  He went back and forth between forward and defense quite a few times during the year, displaying his versatility, in our first round series against Team Maryland I thought he was one of our best players on the ice.  Cam is one of the most unselfish players I have had the opportunity to coach in my career.  I think Cam’s speed, size and strength will help him successfully transition to the NCAA game” said Little Flyers EHL Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron.

“I am very excited to announce my commitment to Framingham State University.  I have chosen to attend Framingham not only to extend my Hockey career, but they provide me the very best path in the academics I need to achieve my goal in pursuing a career in orthopedic medicine and sport science.  I would like to thank all the people in my life that have helped make this possible.  First, I would like to thank my family for always pushing me to be the very best and supporting me no matter the outcome.  Second, the Philadelphia Little Flyers organization, for giving me the opportunity to play in a great environment, from coach Catron helping me to  become a better two way player, to the support of my teammates during our long seasons, and an ownership group that supported me during the last two years.  Lastly, I’d like to thank Coach Bailey and the Framingham State University staff for this great opportunity.  I feel I am very blessed for this opportunity to continue playing the game I love and for everything that it has prepared me for to take the next chapter of my life. Thanks again to everyone that made it possible” said Lindsay earlier this week upon making his commitment to Framingham State University.

The Framingham State University Rams, located in Framingham, Massachusetts are an NCAA DIII program led by Head Coach Mike Bailey.  The Rams are members of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.  There will be a few familiar faces Lindsay will join at Framingham State, as Little Flyers Alumni Ricky Walsh and Trevor Lewandoski are currently Sophomores for the Rams.   On behalf of the entire Little Flyers Organization, congratulations to Cameron and his family on committing to Framingham State University and we thank Cameron for everything he has done in representing the Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization throughout his time here.
