Avari Hahn Earns Player of the Game Honors

(Booth 2020, Photo Hahn)  This weekend our U16 Girls went to Hatfield Ice to take on the Lady Patriots.  Except for a brief instance when our defender went down after catching an edge to let Lady Patriot Keira Shaw get a breakaway goal our girls controlled the game throughout all three periods.  Even with control of the game it still took until the end of the second period when Annie Dignazio passed the puck to Katrina Conway for our first goal of the day.  As the third period progressed our girls really wore down the Lady Patriots and we put in 3 more goals for a 4-1 final score.  Avari Hahn was given the plyer of the game honor for her outstanding performance.  Coaches commented that Avari made the transition to wing from defense last year and is really started to feel comfortable in the new role.  This was evidenced when took the pass from Rachel Clevens and put in her first of 2 goals.  Hahn’s second goal came from Georgia Cronin for her first assist of the season.  An additional goal was scored by Jenna Calchi with the assist going to Kaila Booth.  Both Sydney Babin and Lea Grassia got time in both nets since the Lady Patriot goalie was not available to play
