The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce Jake Frankenfield’s commitment to further his education and hockey career at Arcadia University.  Frankenfield, a 2000 birth-year defenseman from Marlton, NJ is in his first season with the Little Flyers EHL team.  In 10 games this season, Frankenfield has tallied five points, including three power play goals.  “We are very excited for Jake to join Coach Pietrangelo and Arcadia University next season.  He has been a solid defenseman for us here in the early going and a great team guy in our locker room.  He’ll be an excellent addition to their program.  I couldn’t be happier for Jake and his family” said Little Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron.

“First off, I would like to thank my parents for always supporting me in my hockey career and the sacrifices they made so I could continue to play the game I love.  Along with all of my former coaches I’d like to thank Coach Catron, my teammates, and the entire Little Flyers organization for all of their help and support to get to this point in my career.  Since day one I was welcomed and felt right at home in Aston. I am extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity I’m being given by Coach Vincent Pietrangelo at Arcadia University, and look forward to helping build the new hockey program” said Frankenfield upon announcing his commitment Wednesday.

The Arcadia University Knights will begin their inaugural season at the NCAA Division III level in the fall of 2021.  The Knights will be led by Head Coach Vincent Pietrangelo and compete in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference.  On behalf of the entire Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization we would like to congratulate Jake and his family on the NCAA Commitment.
