Game 3 will not be necessary.

The Philadelphia Little Flyers completed a two-game sweep of the Protec Jr Ducks and advanced to the EHL South Division Championship after earning a 4-2 victory at Protechockey Ponds Ice Center on Thursday afternoon.

Jakub Kubik was spectacular between the pipes, making 31 saves on 33 shots. Adam Beauvais, much like in Game 1, paced the offense with two goals and an assist.

Connor MacDonell (two assists) and Vincent Nicosia (one goal, one assist) also recorded multi-point performances.

Protec struck first at 15:56 of the first period. Nick Newman lowered his shoulder and drove to the front of the net and a crashing Connor Tartaglione came crashing in to help the Ducks take a 1-0 lead.

If it weren't for Kubik, it could have been a 2-0 deficit going into the second frame. Protec had a 2-on-1 shorthanded opportunity with seconds remaining in the opening period but Kubik was up to the task and made a sprawling leg pad save.

Dante Gattone evened the score at 1-1 at 6:41 of the second. Jake Frankenfield caught the Ducks sleeping on a line change and threw a stretch pass up ice that Gattone tracked down in the corner. With a defender bearing down on him, Gattone put a quick shot on goal that trickled past the goal line for his first marker this postseason.

Beauvais potted his first of the game at 12:38 after Nicosia did a great job to tie up a Duck center off an offensive-zone faceoff. Beauvais jumped on the loose puck and fired a rocket past goalie Matt Sayles.

Protec took advantage of a Sebastian Rominiecki roughing minor early in the third period to bring the score to 2-2. Newman was credited with the tally.

Then it was Beauvais' turn to play hero. While shorthanded at 12:46, the Michigan native buried a cross-ice feed from Avery Arnold and Connor MacDonell to put PLF up 3-2.

Nicosia sealed the victory for Philadelphia at 18:04. The Little Flyers forced a turnover at their own blue line and MacDonell and Beauvais connected on some crisp passes before Nicosia finished the play off with a snipe from the slot.

PLF will now take on the New Jersey 87s in the EHL South Division Championship Round.
