Aston, PA --  The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of Mid-Atlantic Womans Hockey Association are proud to announce the NCAA College commitment of 19U forward Emma Besa, to King’s College.  Besa, a native of Newtown Square, Pa helped the Little Flyers 19U team to a first place regular season finish in MAWHA with a 5-2-3 record.  “I am very excited for Emma to have the opportunity to continue her hockey career. The NCAA level will allow her to use her speed but challenge her to continue building on her hockey skills. I look forward to her success” said Little Flyers Girls 19U Head Coach Ken Deming.

Besa, is planning on majoring in education at King’s.  King’s College is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.  The King’s College Monarchs are proud members of the United Collegiate Hockey Conference.  “I am proud to announce my commitment to Kings College to pursue my academic and athletic career. I can’t thank my parents, siblings, coaches and the Little Flyers Organization enough for their support throughout the years. Also I would like to thank coach Ott and coach Bryce for this opportunity. I’m very excited to be a monarch!” said Besa upon making her college commitment earlier in the 2020-21 season.

In addition to playing for the Little Flyers Girls 19U team, Besa was the captain of her 2020-21 Marple Newtown Varsity High School hockey team.  “I’ve known Emma and the Besa family for a long time.  From a personal and organizational standpoint, we couldn’t be any prouder of Emma, she earned her commitment to King’s through hard work and dedication.  She is a great representation of the Little Flyers Organization and we wish her the best of luck at the NCAA level” said Little Flyers Youth Hockey President Stephane Charbonneau.   On behalf of the entire Philadelphia Little Flyers Hockey Club, we would like to congratulate Emma and her family on the NCAA Commitment to King’s College.
