Aston, PA —

The Philadelphia Little Flyers, proud members of the Mid-Atlantic Woman’s Hockey Association and National Girls Hockey League are proud to announce 19U Forward Charlotte Labre’s NCAA college commitment to Neumann University.  “Charlotte’s success has been great to watch and be involved with.  She comes to every game ready to play and will give everything she has. Her continued hard work and knowledge towards the game has paid off many times this season. Her leadership on the ice has helped guide her teammates when in tough situations. I only see this continuing in her college career” said Little Flyers 19U Head Coach Ken Deming.  The Neumann University Knights are led by Head Coach Gina Kearns McLaughlin and are members of the United Collegiate Hockey Conference.

“First off I want to thank my Mom and Dad, my entire family for all the support with hockey the past seven years. Without them I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my dream of playing college hockey. In addition, I would like to thank my grandfather and prior coach, Yvon Labre for all the coaching over the years, telling me all the ways I can improve my game. I am extremely grateful for my U16 AA Coach Jordan Grant, for giving me a home with the Philadelphia Little Flyers, for making such an unforgettable season, and pushing me to become a much better hockey player. Thank you to my U19 AA Coaches Ken Deming and Katie Smith for absolutely everything my final season, from improving my skills on the ice to helping me with college recruitment. These coaches made my two years with Little Flyers unforgettable. I am so excited to arrive on campus at Neumann University. Thank you to Head Coach Gina Kearns McLaughlin for welcoming me to the NUWIH team.” Said Labre upon making her commitment official earlier in the week.

Labre and her Little Flyers team are currently 18-0-1 in MAWHA league play.  In 17 games played, Charlotte has scored 7 goals and added a team high 4 power play assists for 11 points.  On behalf of the entire Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization we would like to congratulate Charlotte and her family on Charlotte’s NCAA commitment to Neumann University and thank her for contributions both on and off the ice to the Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization.
