Aston, PA – The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce EHL forward, Harrison Dumas’ college commitment to further his education and hockey career next year at Nazareth College.  Dumas, a 6 ft 190 lb forward from Hammonton, NJ is in his first season of junior hockey with the Little Flyers EHL team.  The New Jersey product has played for the Little Flyers youth organization since the 2018 season.  In his rookie season at the junior hockey level, Dumas has scored five goals and added 18 assists for 23 points in 26 games played. “We are all very happy for Harrison for making his commitment to Nazareth College, I’ve known him and his family for a very long time and it was great getting to coach him for this season.  Harrison is one of those players that uses his strength and size to his advantage and creates a lot of good things for our team at the offensive end especially when he is causing chaos in front of the net” said Little Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron.  He continued “Harrison is a very smart kid in the classroom and has a tremendous work ethic on the ice and in the weight room.  I know Nazareth is getting a complete player to add to their lineup in the fall and we can’t wait to see him succeed at the next level”.  The Nazareth Golden Flyers, members of the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) are led behind the bench by George Roll who is in his 10th season with the Golden Flyers.

“I am excited, honored, and blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at Nazareth College. I would like to foremost thank my parents, grandparents, brother, and sister for giving me the opportunity to play this game that I love and supporting me in every way possible. I would also like to thank all of my coaches that I have had up to this point because they have shaped me not only as a player but as a person, especially Coach Catron, Coach Dorman, Coach Hodge, and Coach Robichaud.  I would also like to thank Coach Roll for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I would like to thank my teammates especially Chris Blango and TJ Avellino for training with me and pushing me to be better each day. Lastly, I would like to thank Brother Bob Thornton, OSA for keeping me spiritually, emotionally, and mentally centered through this entire process. I am very excited to start the next chapter of my life. Go Golden Flyers!” said Dumas upon making his commitment official earlier this week.

Dumas, who is averaging almost a point per game in his first year of junior hockey, played two years of 18U and one year of 16U for the Little Flyers organization.  During the 2020-21 season, Dumas helped to lead the 18U Little Flyers to the NAPHL Dixon Cup Finals and the team was nationally ranked as high as #10 in the country.  Dumas has registered five multi point games this season, including a career high 3 points in a game on three different occasions.

On behalf of the entire Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization, we would like to congratulate Harrison and his family on Harrison’s NCAA College commitment to Nazareth College and thank him for his outstanding leadership and contributions both on and off the ice to the Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization.
