Quebec, Canada -  The Philadelphia Little Flyers will be well represented at the 2022 Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament with four current players in the tournament.

Goaltender Aidan Wright, Defensemen Mikey Leuthold, Jake Morrow and Forward Keeghan Middleton will all get to experience the world’s most famous youth hockey tournament in the month of May.  In the fall, all four players will suit up for Coach JT Tarantino and his 2009 Philadelphia Little Flyers team.  Wright and Leuthold will be teammates in the tournament, playing for the Flyers PeeWee Quebec team.  Jake Morrow started the tournament earlier this week playing for the Phantoms Quebec team and Keeghan Middleton will represent AHF at the tournament.

“This is a great opportunity for our players to be able to go to my home country and experience the Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament” said Little Flyers President Stephane Charbonneau.  I remember brining my youth teams there when I was coaching the PeeWee level, not only is it good hockey but the overall experience of billeting, touring the arenas and learning about the culture in Quebec is something Aidan, Mikey, Jake and Keeghan will remember for the rest of their lives.  I hope they take it all in and appreciate how special it is to earn a spot on those teams playing in the tournament,  we are all very happy for them” Charbonneau concluded.

The Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament has been played for over 60 years in Quebec City.  Founded in 1959by Gerard Bolduc, the tournament was integrated with the festivities of Carnaval de Quebec.  The biggest names in hockey have played in the tournament including Brad Park, Guy Lafleur, The Gretzky and Howe Brothers, Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, Steven Stamkos and hundreds of more NHLers.  In addition to letting thousands of kids live the dream, the tournament has always had the Patro Roc-Amadour foundation at heart. In 50 years, the tournament donated more than 2 133 000$. It is in the Patro Roc-Amadour that the tournament has its Temple of Friendship. In it, you can find photos and trophies that have marked the tournament's history.

Good Luck to Aidan, Mikey, Jake and Keeghan as they get to play in the historic tournament from May 1st – May 15th.  For more information visit Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament (tournoipee-wee.qc.ca)
