Aston, PA -- The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) are proud to announce Mike Narrigan as the new Head Coach of the Little Flyers EHL Premier team.  Narrigan, is a familiar face to the Little Flyers organization, as he served as the Assistant Coach for both the EHL and Premier teams from 2017-2019.  The Little Flyers saw many successes in those two seasons, committing 27 players to the NCAA level, back-to-back EHL Frozen Finals appearances and an EHLP Final.

“I’m excited for Mike to be re-joining our organization, he was a big part of two really good seasons for us at both the EHL and Premier levels and we look to continue that trend moving into the 2022-23 season” said Little Flyers Juniors President Anthony Lorusso.  “I’ve kept in touch with Mike over the past three years, him and Coach Catron have a good working relationship, so it was the right time as an organization to bring Mike back in this role.”

Prior to his time with the Little Flyers, Narrigan was the Head Coach of the Exton Bulls in the NA3HL, assistant coach for the EHL’s Connecticut Nighthawks.  Coach Narrigan received his Bachelors Defree in Business Management and Marketing from Penn State Berks in 2014.  While attending Penn State Berks, Narrigan played for the ACHA Division 1 team.  Growing up in Pennsylvania, Coach Narrigan played his youth hockey for the Exton Kings organization and moved on to play high school hockey for Spring-Ford High School.  His coaching career began as an instructor for the Denike Goaltending Academy run by Terry Denike.  In 2019, Narrigan took a rink position in Staten Island where he was also the goalie Coach for the Staten Island Titans and staff member for the New York Bridgemen.

“I’m happy to be back with the Little Flyers, when A-Lo and Jim Watson reached out to me to discuss rejoining the organization in this role, I knew it was the right time to return to a place that feels like home” said Narrigan.  “My time here with Mark (Mark Catron) and George (George Lewis) helped me develop a lot as a coach and a person.  As always our goal is to develop our guys for the next chapter of their life whether that be moving up to the EHL or going to college.  I’m really excited about our group, we have some good returning players from last season and a good class of recruits coming in.  I can’t wait to get to work over the summer and training camp" concluded Narrigan.

In his new role, Mike will be the Head Coach for the Little Flyers EHL Premier team, coming fresh off a EHLP Frozen Finals appearance in Providence, Rhode Island and an assistant Coach for the Little Flyers EHL team, reuniting the Little Flyers Coaching staff that went a combined 71-10-4 during the 2018-19 season.  The Little Flyers Premier team and their new bench boss kick off the EHL Premier regular season on Saturday September 17th on home ice at Premier Orthopaedics IceWorks Skating Complex.
