16U: Amato, Dalessandro & Dignazio Earn All-NAPHL Honors

12 Little Flyers make 16U Academic Honor Roll

Aston, PA – The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) recently named their All-NAPHL T1er 16U teams for the Central, East and West Divisions.  The NAPHL selects these players based on player performance in all NAPHL regular season and playoff games. “Having 3 players awarded to the eastern division All-NAPHL team is quite an accomplishment. That represents 50% of the All-East team and is something these well deserving players, and our organization should be extremely proud of. All 3 of these young men represented our club with the highest of standards every day they put on that Little Flyer jersey and I am extremely proud, and thankful for all 3 of them.” Said Little Flyers 18U Head Coach and General Manager Dave Dorman.

All-NAPHL 16U Team Forward – Dominick Dalessandro -

Dalessandro was the leading forward scorer for the East Division Champion Little Flyers in NAPHL play, in 20 total games, he scored 8 goals and added 9 assists for 17 points.  The 5’10” 140 LB forward from West Chester, Pennsylvania registered five multiple point games, including a streak of four straight games with multi point performances.  Dalessandro was also named to the NAPHL Academic Honor Roll for his performance in the classroom.   

All- NAPHL 16U Defense – Nicolas Dignazio –

Dignazio, the Little Flyers Captain led the team in most offensive categories including Goals (7), Assists (11) and Game Winning Goals (3).  The 5’9” 150 LB defenseman from Wallingford, Pennsylvania also finished in the top 10 amongst all NAPHL defenseman in goals, points and game winning goals.  Dignazio was also named to the NAPHL Academic Honor Roll for his performance in the classroom.      

All- NAPHL 16U Goalie – Christian Amato –

Amato, posted a 6-3 record for the East Division Champion Little Flyers during the NAPHL season.  He finished the season with a 1.40 Goals Against Average and .900 save percentage.  In the Dixon Cup Playoffs, Amato went 2-1 including a 6-0 shutout win against the Madison Capitols.  Amato was also named to the NAPHL Academic Honor Roll for his performance in the classroom.

The Little Flyers also had a total of twelve players named to the NAPHL Academic Honor Roll.  Christian Amato, Aries Carangi, Dom Dalessandro, Nicholas Dignazio, Nick Fiore, Julian Gavin, Kevin Hudak, Matthew Kratchwell, Mike McDevitt, Darin O'Dell, Aydin Thierolf, Michael Tordone.  “I am a big believer in mind and body and that those two things go as one. It is of no surprise to me that 12 of our players were awarded with making the NAPHL All-Academic Honor Roll. Excellence on and off the ice are of no coincidence and our club continues to be a league leader in this area. It’s a testament to our players and families, and something we are all proud of” said Coach Dorman when speaking on the importance of his players taking care of their academics in the classroom.
