Aston, PA -- Philadelphia Little Flyers 14U Girls Head Coach and Little Flyers Alum Ricky Walsh has recently announced that he will be running in the 127th Boston Marathon on April 17, 2023. 

Walsh spent his playing days in the Orange and Black, playing 16U and 18U Midget hockey for the Little Flyers before spending two years on the EHL Junior team.  He committed to Framingham State University where he spent four seasons playing hockey and getting his degree in Business and IT.  After college, Ricky moved back to Delaware County to begin his work career and wanted to get into coaching, so it only made sense to return to the Little Flyers.  “As a long time, player in the Little Flyers organization and now Coach in the organization I’m proud to share some exciting news, on April 17th I will be running the Boston Marathon for Dana-Farber.  The money I raise will go to basic cancer research in hopes of playing a role in creating a cancer free world.  Cancer has touched my family just like many of yours” said Walsh when asked about the April Marathon.
