Aston, PA --  The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce the college commitment of Tristan D’Elia to Manhattanville College to further his education and playing career.  D’Elia, a 6ft 180LB 2002 birthyear forward from West Chester, Pennsylvania is in his first season with the Little Flyers EHL team.  “Tristan has done it all for us this season, even strength, power play and shorthanded, we’ve relied heavily on his play” said Little Flyers EHL Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron.  “He’s over a point per game guy for us but more importantly, has a high hockey IQ and brings an edge to our lineup each game.  I think he’s going to be very successful at Manhattanville and be able to be a big contributor at the NCAA level.”  Manhattanville College located in Purchase, New York.  As members of the United Collegiate Hockey Conference, the Valiants are led by 3rd year head coach David Turco.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue my hockey career at the collegiate level.  I want to thank my family, teammates, and coaches, who have all been there for me throughout my hockey journey. Without their guidance and encouragement, I would not be where I am today. I am also grateful to the coaching staff at Manhattanville College for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of their program.  I look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead as a Valiant, and I cannot wait to contribute to the team's success both on and off the ice. Go Valiants!” said D’Elia after making his commitment official late last week.

In his first season with the Little Flyers EHL team, D’Elia has played in all 43 regular season games thus far.  With 19 Goals and 27 Assists he is amongst the EHL’s league leaders in goals, assists and points.  Goals have come in bunches this season for D’Elia with five multi goal games, three of them being hattricks.  Tristan won’t be the only D’Elia heading off to college this year, as his sister Thalia will be heading to Robert Morris in the fall to play for their Division 1 Women’s program.
