Youth: 2011 Little Flyers cap off season with AYHL Championship

Koslosky paces team with 212 point season

Aston, PA -- The Little Flyers 2011 Squirt Minor ended the season with hardware, capturing the Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) Championship in West Chester last week.  In the team's third season led by Little Flyers Alumni and Head Coaches Rocco Carzo and Marcus Dickerson, the team finished the season with a 59-13-5-1 record.  After going 2-0 on the first day of the playoffs with 8-2 and 14-4 wins respectively, on day two the Little Flyers dropped a close 4-3 game to the Palmyra Black Knights.  This set up a re-match the next day in a winner take all Championship.  Trailing 2-0 after the first period, the Little Flyers offense came to life in the second period, tying the game at 2-2 going into the third.  Philadelphia’s Power Play proved to be the difference in the game with Brayden Capecci scoring the eventual game winning goal with assists from Steven Pizzo and Cole Wray.  Aidan Albright capped off a Championship game hattrick three minutes later depositing a pass from Jack Koslosky into the back of the Palmyra net. 

Brady Beebe finished the game with 15 saves for the Little Flyers, getting the win in net. 

Four Little Flyers finished the season over the century mark in points.  Jack Koslosky finished the season with 212 points (105 Goals and 107 Assists) along with Ryan ‘Coop’ Cooper (123 Points), Bek Hart-Carmichael (113 Points) and Brayden Capecci (105 Points)
