Aston, PA – The Philadelphia Little Flyers, members of the Eastern Hockey League are proud to announce the college commitment of Tyler Page to Anna Maria College to further his education and hockey career this fall.  Page, a 5’10” 190LB forward from North East, Maryland played two seasons for the Little Flyers junior program.  During the 2021-22 season, Page entered his first season of junior hockey on the Premier team, playing in 47 games scoring 12 goals and adding 18 assists on a Little Flyers team that made it to the EHL’s Frozen Finals in Providence.  “We are all very happy for Tyler and the progress he has made in the past two years with the Little Flyers.  Going from a kid that wasn’t sure he wanted to continue playing after his final year of 18U to now making an NCAA commitment tells you everything about the work Tyler has put in” said Little Flyers EHL Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron.  “Tyler did a lot of little things right in the stretch run of the season to help get us back to Providence, including a big game winning goal in the beginning of February against a division opponent.  His forechecking and ability to create turnovers might not always show up in the box score but we know those things he did consistently helped us win hockey games this season”.  The Anna Maria College AMCats, located in Paxton, Massachusetts are led by 5th year Head Coach David McCauley who has been with the program since its inaugural NCAA season in 2018-19.

“I am honored to announce my commitment to Anna Maria to continue my academic and athletic career. I’d like to thank God for all he has done in my life. I’d also like to thank my family, especially my dad for putting me in a position to succeed. Lastly, I’d like to thank Coach Catron, Anthony Lorusso and my teammates for giving me a great two years at Little Flyers. I am very grateful for the coaching staff at Anna Maria for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to be a part of their program. Go Amcats!” said Page after making his commitment official last week.

During the 2022-23 season, Page made the jump to the EHL team where he played in 47 total games, scoring 1 goal and adding 6 assists.  As Coach Catron mentioned, Page’s first career EHL goal came in the first period of a tied game against division opponents Philadelphia Hockey Club on February 2nd, right in the thick of the Little Flyers climb towards the top of the South Division standings.  Page will join Little Flyers teammate Caleb Cathcart in the Fall as they will both be freshmen for the Amcats.

On behalf of the entire Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization, we would like to congratulate Tyler and his family on Tyler’s NCAA College Commitment to Anna Maria College and thank him for his contributions both on and off the ice to the Philadelphia Little Flyers organization.
