Jr A’s Extend South Division Lead with Two Wins This Weekend

The Little Flyers traveled to Walpole to play the Express on Friday night. After a scoreless first period Jude Warner opened the scoring at 8:09 mark of the second period with an assist from Cole Pierce.  Jesse MacIntyre scored a power play goal at the :37 mark of the third period to extend the lead to 2-0 for the Little Flyers with assists from Oleg Potekim and Gabe Chuckran. The Little Flyers put the game away with Jesse Macintrye scoring his second goal of the game with assists from Jude Warner and Cole Pierce. Alex Derks recorded his second shutout of the season turning away 26 shots he faced from the Express.

On Saturday the Little Flyers traveled to Norwalk Ct to take on the Central Division first place Oilers. The Little Flyers opened the scoring at the 12:24 mark of the first period with a goal from Cameron Berry assist from Carter Lukenda. Troy Grahl gave the Little Flyers a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 18:18 mark with an assist from Zach Felser. The Little Flyers made it 3-0 with a goal from Carter Lukenda with assists from Austin Kelly and Cameron Berry. Drew Gannon scored to make it 4-0 with an assist from Hector Majul. The Oilers made it 4-1 but Jesse MacIntrye answered back for the Little Flyers making it 5-1 with assists from Zach Felser and Troy Grahl. Alec Derks stopped 41 of 42 shots to back stop the Little Flyers 5 to 1 win.

The Little Flyers take on the NJ Titans this weekend Saturday at Middletown NJ at 7 pm and Sunday at Iceworks at 12 noon.
