Gielarowski Commits to St. Mary’s University

The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that Stephen Gielarowski has committed to attend St. Mary’s University to continue his education and playing career.  In 20 games Stephen scored 3 goals and contributed 7 assists for 10 points.  Unfortunately Stephen suffered a season ending injury at Christmas time and was unable to continue. “Stephen was a huge contributor for our program before his injury” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “It was a tough loss for us but we are thrilled to be able to announce today that Stephen will be able to continue his career.” “I am very excited and humbled by this opportunity.” Said Gielarowski. “It was my goal to play NCAA Hockey when I joined the Little Flyer organization, and I thought that opportunity may be gone when I got injured. However with the support of my parents, and Coach Russo I was able to continue to pursue my dream.” Gielarowski also added, “I would really like to thank Coach Russo, Coach McCarthy and Mr. and Mrs. Giacobbo for giving me the opportunity to play for the Little Flyers. It is a first class organization and I will always be a part of the Little Flyer family.”

The Little Flyers continue their playoff run this weekend against the Hartford Wolfpack in EHL Quarterfinal action. The Little Flyers swept the Walpole Express while the Wolfpack defeated the New Jersey Rockets to set up the matchup. Game 1 will be Friday March 7 at Aston Iceworks
