Life Long Little Flyer Makes NCAA Commitment

The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that 1994 born Defenseman Garrett Gallagher, has committed to attend The University of Massachusetts-Boston to continue his education and playing career.  In 79 career regular season games Garrett registered 10 Goals and 28 Assists for 38 Points. He also accumulated 80 regular season penalty minutes. In 11 playoff games Garrett has added, 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points.  “Garrett has been a life-long Little Flyer” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “His advancement to the NCAA level is the perfect example of what our mission is with the Little Flyer organization.” Gallagher said, “I would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Giacobbo for providing the opportunity for local players to play tier 1 hockey without having to leave our hometown.” “They provided a great program for many years and I am proud to say I was a part of it.” Gallagher also added, “I would also like to thank Coach Russo and Coach McCarthy for everything they have done for me over the past two years.” I have become not only a better player on the ice but also a well-rounded person off the ice.”

Garrett now turns his focus to leading the Little Flyers into EHL Semi-Final action this weekend against the Connecticut Oilers. All 3 games will be at Aston Ice Works.
