The Eastern Hockey League announced today that Trevor Micucci of the Philadelphia Little Flyers has been named the EHL's Goalie of the Year.

The 1997 birth year player from Buffalo, N.Y, burst on the EHL scene this year and hung around the top of the league's goaltending statistics while helping lead the Little Flyers to their first regular season championship.  Micucci anchored a defensive unit that gave up a league-low 75 goals (1.70 per game) while dropping only three regular season contests.  Individually Micucci tied for first in the league with 19 wins and ranked second in Goals Against Average (1.69) and Save Percentage (.938).  He was only tagged with one regular season loss and one shootout loss this year.

"Trevor is an excellent young man with an fantastic work ethic and compete level," said Little Flyers head coach Rocky Russo.  "To make the transition from 16U to Junior hockey so seamlessly, and at such a young age, was very impressive.  He works hard both on and off the ice and is extremely driven to succeed. Our organization is very proud of him and excited for his bright future."
