Slocum Commits to Worcester State University

5th Little Flyer to Make NCAA Plans This Season

The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that Little Flyer Defenseman Cody Slocum has committed to attend Worcester State University to continue his education and playing career.  In 50 career regular season games for the Little Flyers, Cody registered 2 Goals and 11 Assists for 13 Points while also accumulating 44 Penalty Minutes.  In the Playoffs Cody registered 2 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 13 games.  “Cody is a young man of fantastic character and work ethic” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “He is a smart stay at home defensemen that was routinely tasked with playing against our opponents’ top line. He was also an anchor on our penalty kill and played significant 5 on 5 minutes”. Slocum said, “I would like to thank my parents and family for supporting me as I pursued my goal of playing NCAA College hockey.” Slocum also added, “I would also like to thank Coach Russo, Coach McCarthy, my Billet Family and Mr. and Mrs. Giacobbo. I had a fantastic experience in Philadelphia and can’t thank them enough for the support.”

Cody is the 5th Little Flyer to make his NCAA Plans this season, joining Garrett Gallagher ( UMASS-Boston), Zach Felser (Suny-Cortland), Blake Delise (Trinity College) and Jacob Paluch (Nazareth College).
