Procopio Commits To Lawrence University

7th Little Flyer to Make NCAA Plans This Season

          The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that Little Flyer Goaltender Greg Procopio has committed to attend Lawrence University in Appleton, WI to continue his education and playing career.  In 46 career regular season Starts for the Little Flyers, Greg registered 26 Wins and 13 Losses 2 OT Losses and 1 Shootout Loss. He also registered 6 Shutouts in that time while finishing his career with a 2.25 GAA and a .915 Save %. During the 2014-15 Season Greg started 23 games going 18-2-2-1 with 5 shutouts and only 38 goals against. His 1.70 GAA was good for 3rd overall in the EHL while his .928 Save % was 5th overall in the league. Greg was also selected an EHL Mid-Season all star and represented the EHL against the MHL Red Stars. “Greg is a great goalie but an even better person.” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “He has great character and an unbelievable work ethic. He did a great job battling through adversity at times and definitely earned all of his success”. Procopio said, “I have played for the Little Flyer organization for years and I always hoped I would have a chance to play NCAA Hockey. Now that I am actually getting the opportunity to be an NCAA student-athlete I can tell you I am very thankful.” Procopio also added, “My Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Giacobbo, Coach Russo and TJ, Im just very greatful to everyone that helped me continue to pursue this goal.”

Greg is the 7th Little Flyer to make his NCAA Plans this season, joining Drew Gannon and Garrett Gallagher (UMASS-Boston), Zach Felser (Suny-Cortland), Blake Delisle (Trinity College), Jacob Paluch (Nazareth College) and Cody Slocum (Worchester State)
