Moritz Chooses Neumann University

5th Little Flyer To Make College Choice

The Philadelphia Little Flyers are proud to announce that JC Moritz has committed to attend Neumann University to continue his education and playing career.  Moritz, a 6’5, 215lb Left Shot defenseman, played in 32 EHL games this season with the Little Flyers and Boston Jr Rangers.  He registered one assist and 39 Penalty Minutes during the campaign.  Neumann University, the 2009 NCAA National Champion, is a member of ECAC-West. “JC was a great veteran presence for our club this season.” Said Little Flyer Head Coach Rocky Russo. “Adding a local player with junior experience to our young club was very important to our success. JC is a smart steady defensemen that makes good decisions with the puck and plays a tough physical game. ” Moritz commented, “I am very excited to be attending Neumann University. The Hockey Program has been successful for a very long time and I look forward to helping Coach Tendler and the team pursue a National Championship. ” Moritz also added, “I would like to thank my parents, my teammates, as well as Coach Russo, Coach Curley and Coach Catron for helping me reach my goal.”

JC is the 5rd Little Flyer to make his College decision this season joining Bruce Stachitas (Stevenson), Austin Kelly (Wisconsin-Stevens Point), Adem Arifi (Milwaukee School of Engineering) and Braden Mitchell (University of Wisconsin Eau- Claire)
