3 Year Volunteer Assistant Joins Little Flyers EHL Staff

The Philadelphia Little Flyers of the Eastern Hockey League Premier Division are proud to announce the hiring of former Penn State University Volunteer Assistant Coach George Lewis to the same position. Lewis spent 3 years working with the NCAA Division 1 team, focused on daily practice, working with the Goaltenders and video during his time there. While at Penn State, the Nittany Lions picked up their 1st 20 win season and moved multiple players on to the Professional ranks, Including Casey Bailey (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Goaltenders Eamon McAdam (NY Islanders) and Matt Skoff (Reading Royals).  Along with his coaching experience at Penn State, Lewis served as an assistant coach at Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. In 2012-13, Bishop Shanahan made the Flyers Cup playoffs for the first time in seven seasons. Lewis takes over for former Little Flyer Assistant Coach Ben Curley, who has moved on to pursue other career opportunities outside of hockey. Curley will remain the Goaltender coach for the Little Flyers.
