Alumni Update: Gaudreau Signs Six-Year Contract with Flames

Little Flyers President Wishes Gaudreau Continued Success

Little Flyers alum Johnny Gaudreau announced yesterday via twitter that he has re-signed with the NHL's Calgary Flames.  In his statement Gaudreau said "As I have always said, I just want to play hockey.  I want to be there for my teammates and for the fans of Calgary"  The six-year contract has Gaudreau signed in Calgary until 2021.  "On behalf of the entire Little Flyers organization I'd like to congratulate Little Flyers alumni, Johnny Gaudreau and his family on his new long term contract with the Flames.  We wish him continued success both on and off the ice" said Little Flyers President John Giacobbo.  Gaudreau, the New Jersey native played for the Little Flyers from his days as a PeeWee in 2004 through his first year of Midgets for the 2008-09 season.  Over a four-year span for the Little Flyers from Bantam Minor to Midget National, Gaudreau scored 258 points (122 Goals & 136 Assists) in 112 AYHL games.
