Aston, PA --  Earlier today the Eastern Hockey League announced it's TSR Hockey Stars of the Month for October.  The Little Flyers went undefeated in the month of October, posting a 12-0 record while outscoring opponents 58-16.  With team success comes individual honors as well, Joey Savel has been named October's Forward of the Month while defenseman Zikmund "Ziki" Mroz has been named Defenseman of the Month.

 Joey Savel, a 1997 birth year forward from Sterling Heights, Michigan currently has 18 points (5 Goals, 13 Assists) on the season, all coming in the month of October.  Savel's 7 power play assists currently leads the league in that category.  In the Little Flyers 12 wins in October Savel had some big games, including a two goal two assist performance in a 5-4 win against the Jr. Wolfpack on October 16th. 

Zikmund "Ziki" Mroz, a 1998 birth year defenseman from Praha, Czech Republic has 16 points (4 Goals, 12 Assists) on the season.  Mroz, currently riding an 8-game point streak has been efficient on the Power Play with 9 of his 16 points coming via the man advantage.  In the same October 16th game against the Jr. Wolfpack, Mroz had a career high 3 Power Play assists. 

Savel, Mroz and the rest of the Little Flyers bring their 14-game winning streak on the road this weekend as they head to Connecticut for a weekend series with the Nighthawks.
