Each day from now until Christmas we will sit down and talk to a player from the Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League Junior Team to discuss the holiday season. On Day four we talked to defenseman #6 Ian Kwant
- Favorite thing about Christmas? : “The Snow, I love the snow, love being around it, playing in it, with the family and friends”
- Favorite Christmas tradition growing up as a kid? “Opening one present on Christmas Eve, I always look forward to that”
- What are you looking forward to most this holiday season? “ Just being with my family and girlfriend, I miss them a lot”
- Favorite Christmas Food? “My mom makes this cinnamon apple coffee cake that’s to die for”
- Favorite Christmas Movie? “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”
- Favorite Christmas Song? “ Rocking Around the Christmas Tree”
- Most Memorable Christmas? “When I was like 7 or 8 I got goalie pads for Christmas, I wanted to be a goalie for the longest time and I was so pumped. I was really happy to get them”
- Best gift you’ve ever received? “It was the goalie pads for sure”
- Worst gift you’ve ever received? “My grandparents went to Africa a few years back and they got me this African War Club for Christmas and I have no clue what to do with it”
- Do you shop early or last minute? “Definitely an early shopper, I was out on Black Friday with my girlfriend and got everything done”
- Hardest person in your family to shop for? “Probably my sister, she is really picky about everything”
- Who would you rather drop the gloves with, The Grinch or Ebenezer Scrooge? “My friends call me the Grinch so I’m going with Ebenezer Scrooge”
- Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? “Egg Nog definitely”
- If you could get one gift this year what would it be? “This pair of headphones from Sennheiser, I’m absolutely obsessed with them, I really want them”
