Each day from now until Christmas we will sit down and talk to a player from the Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League Junior Team to discuss the holiday season. On day nine we talked to forward #11 Nate Rogers
- Favorite thing about Christmas? "Cold weather and hanging out with family and friends”
- Favorite Christmas tradition growing up as a kid? “I’d always go hunting with my grandpa, that’s always fun”
- What are you looking forward to most this holiday season? “Seeing my family and hanging out with my grandparents and going hunting”
- Favorite Christmas Food? “Ham, just a big Christmas ham that my parents make”
- Favorite Christmas Movie? “Elf, for sure”
- Favorite Christmas Song? “Jingle Bells
- Most Memorable Christmas? “The year I got a brand new net to shoot on, it’s the one that’s still at my house today so it’s been my longest lasting gift”
- Best gift you’ve ever received? “The net”
- Worst gift you’ve ever received? “One year I got zip ties, like a whole bag of zip ties”
- Do you shop early or last minute? “Late, last minute”
- Hardest person in your family to shop for? “Either my dad or our cat”
- If you had to pick either Kevin McCallister from Home Alone or Ralphie from a Christmas story to play on your line who would it be? “They’re both wimps but I’ll take McCallister I guess”
- Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? “Hot chocolate, maybe some marshmallows if I’m in the mood”
- If you could get one gift this year what would it be? “ Shoot a big buck this year”
