NHL Stadium Trips, Coloring Books from Grandma & More

Each day from now until Christmas we will sit down and talk to a player from the Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League Junior Team to discuss the holiday season.  On day thirteen we talked to Alternate Captain, Defenseman #17 Evan Heldt

  1.  Favorite thing about Christmas?  "Seeing all of my extended family again,  I don’t get to see them too often through the year so looking forward to seeing my cousins”
  2. Favorite Christmas tradition growing up as a kid? “It’s more of a recent thing but me and a few of my uncles and cousins have been going to a new NHL arena each year.  It’s been pretty cool going to a different city, watching an NHL game and seeing what the city has to offer.  We might go to Buffalo this year for World Juniors”

  3. What are you looking forward to most this holiday season?  “Probably going home,  I’m going to pick up some work hours to make some money, I’m kind of broke right now”
  4. Favorite Christmas Food?  “Sugar Cookies with Hershey kisses in the middle, my mom usually makes them”
  5. Favorite Christmas Movie?  “Elf”
  6. Favorite Christmas Song?  “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth”
  7. Most Memorable Christmas? “Two years ago when I went to Nashville for the hockey trip.  Nashville is just a great city and we had a great time, the people were nice and there was a lot going on in the city”
  8. Best gift you’ve ever received? “When I was younger I got a PS2, I played that thing for years”
  9. Worst gift you’ve ever received? “My grandma got me a coloring book when I was like 13”
  10. Do you shop early or last minute? “Last Minute
  11. Hardest person in your family to shop for? “My Dad”
  12. If you had to pick either Kevin McCallister from Home Alone or Ralphie from a Christmas story to play in a defensive pair with?  “Kevin McCallister for sure”
  13. Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? “Hot Chocolate”
  14.  If you could get one gift this year what would it be? “A new stick, I’m running low this year and have been breaking lots of them”
