Finnish Christmas Ham, Electric Guitar, New Phone & More

Each day from now until Christmas we will sit down and talk to a player from the Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League Junior Team to discuss the holiday season.  On day sixteen we talked to forward #21 Konsta Jaakola 

  1.  Favorite thing about Christmas?  "Going up to Northern Finland to see my family and spend Christmas with them”
  2. Favorite Christmas tradition growing up as a kid? “Going to play pond hockey on Christmas day with my dad and other relatives”
  3. What are you looking forward to most this holiday season?  “Going home and seeing my family and friends and spending some quality time with them”
  4. Favorite Christmas Food?  “Finnish Christmas ham”
  5. Favorite Christmas Movie?  “A Christmas Story”
  6. Favorite Christmas Song?  “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
  7. Most Memorable Christmas? “Last year, I was away for a couple of months since I went to prep school but when I got to go home after a couple months away it was really nice after not seeing my family for three months”
  8. Best gift you’ve ever received? “When I was 10 years old I got an electric guitar, I used to play all the time but don’t really anymore”
  9. Worst gift you’ve ever received? “A pair of underpants”
  10. Do you shop early or last minute? “Early”
  11. Hardest person in your family to shop for? “My Dad, he doesn’t usually know what he wants”
  12. If you had to pick either Kevin McCallister from Home Alone or Ralphie from a Christmas story to play on a line with? "Kevin McCallister"
  13. Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? “Hot Chocolate”
  14.  If you could get one gift this year what would it be? “A new phone, I’ve already broken two this year”
