Aston, Pa – Here is a look back at this past weekend’s games for all Little Flyers teams for September 16th & 17th 2017 at the youth hockey level in AYHL action.

10U Squirt Minor 08 (NEXT GAME: SAT 9/23 @ Virtua Hockey, SUN 9/24 HOME vs Jr. Flyers)  
SAT 9/16 -  Squirt Minor Little Flyers were on the road for one game against the North Jersey Avalanche, Goals by Aiden Delfin (2), Tyler Newby and Nash Grant weren’t enough to defeat the Avalanche as the Little Flyers fell in a tough one 7-4.  Grant Gale made 23 saves in net for the Little Flyers

12U Pee Wee 05 (NEXT GAME: SAT 9/23 HOME vs NJ Avalanche, SUN 9/24 @ Valley Forge Minutemen)
SAT 9/16
– In Connecticut for a weekend series against the CT Chiefs,  The Little Flyers offense owned the weekend as they defeated the Chiefs 7-2 on Saturday.  Six different players scored for Philadelphia, Casey Johnson, Pat Karbach, Nick Jarmain, Kai Ackerman, Matthew Moser (2) and Eric McHale all lit the lamp for the away team.  Cody Butikis made 7 saves in net to get the win. 

SUN 9/17 - The offense stayed hot for the Little Flyers on Sunday as they picked up a 12-1 victory.  Casey Johnson led the way scoring 5 goals.  Eric McHale, Kai Ackerman (2), Nick Jarmain (2), Par Karbach and Augie Pescatore all scored for the Little Flyers.  In goal, Ryan Harris made 10 saves on 11 shots.

SUN 9/17 Non-League – On the way home from Connecticut the Little Flyers made a stop in New Jersey for a non-league game against the NJ Hitmen of the USPHL.  Goals by Casey Johnson and Matthew Moser had the game deadlocked at 2-2 late in the third period.  Nick Jarmaine, gave the Little Flyers a 3-2 lead with 2:11 left to play, Eric McHale added an empty netter as the Little Flyers went on to win 4-3.  Cody Butikis picked up his 2nd win of the weekend with 17 saves.        

16U American 01/02 (NEXT GAME: SUN 9/24 vs Virtua Hockey @ Pennsauken Skate Zone)     

SUN 9/17 – Little Flyers 16U American team were on the road Sunday for a game against Virtua Hockey.  Landers Masterson scored the lone goal for the Little Flyers as they lost a close battle 3-1.  Little Flyers goaltender Zachary Wellman made 27 saves in net.  

16 U Elite 01/02 (NEXT GAME: SAT 9/23 @ Team Maryland)
SUN 9/17 – 
The game between Virtua and the Little Flyers was scoreless through two periods of play.  Mark Dobson scored the lone goal for the Little Flyers at the 8:53 mark of the third period less than a minute after Virtua took a 1-0 lead.  Virtua would eventually score the game winner at the 12:49 mark to seal the victory.
