Little Flyers Weekly Roundup 9/29, 9/30 & 10/1

Aston, Pa – Here is a look back at this past weekend’s games for all Little Flyers teams for September 29th, 30th and October 1st 2017 at the youth hockey level in AYHL action.

10U Squirt Minor 08 (NEXT AYHL GAME:  SAT 10/14 @ Valley Forge Minutemen)
SAT 10/1 -  The Little Flyers fell to the Long Island Gulls 9-3 on Sunday at home.  Little Flyers goals were scored by Cole Gargon, Charlie Dietz and Tyler Newby.  Grant Gale made 34 saves in net.  
 

12U Pee Wee 05 (NEXT AYHL GAME:  10/14 @New Jersey Jr. Titans)

14U Bantam 03 – (NEXT AYHL GAME: 10/14 @ CT RoughRiders)

16U American 01/02 (NEXT AYHL GAME: 10/14 @ New York Saints)

16 U Elite 01/02 ( NEXT AYHL GAME: 10/14 @ NJ Devils Youth )
FRI 9/29 – Vinny Starzi scored a first period goal to put the Little Flyers ahead momentarily.  The Long Island Gulls Premier dominated the second period scoring 5 unanswered goals.  Julian Boisclair and Cameron Chandler scored for the Little Flyers in the third period but it was too late, the Gulls won by a final score of 10-3

SAT 9/30 – The team bounced back on Saturday with a 3-1 win against he CT Chiefs Elite.  Starzi led the team with two point s (1G, 1A) Drew Iannucci and Cameron Chandler also scored for the Little Flyers, Iannucci’s power play goal going down as the game winner.  Max Hunt made 26 saves in the game for Philadelphia.

SUN 10/1 – The Power Play was the key to Sunday’s game against the Long Island Royals Elite, as the Little Flyers scored three times on the man advantage.  Cameron Chandler tallied three points (2G, 1A) in the game.  Vinny Starzi scored his third goal of the weekend and also added an assist.  Max Hunt won his second consecutive game, making 21 saves.
