Aston,PA - - After a few days off to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, the Little Flyers EHL Premier Team was back on the ice Sunday.  The team traveled to Central Pennsylvania for a South Conference matchup against the Central Penn Panthers.

Ryan Creenan, got the start in net for the visiting Little Flyers and would come up huge for the team in this game.  The Little Flyers got on the scoreboard early in this one with a goal from their leading scorer, Kyle Scott.  Austin Mazzulo caused a turnover in the Panthers zone, dishing the puck to Ryan Sharkey who dropped the puck back to a cutting Scott for the goal.  The Little Flyers controlled play for most of the first period, outshooting the Panthers 16-6 but were only able to score one time in the first twenty minutes.

The second period featured a lot of back and forth play with the two teams combining for 32 shots but neither could put the puck in the back of the net.  The Little Flyers offense took over the game in the third period.

It took just thirty seconds into the third period for the Little Flyers to increase their lead to 2-0.  Sharkey, poked the puck loose to Mazzulo along the boards in the Panthers zone.  Mazzulo passed the puck to Scott who beat the Panthers goalie high glove side for his second goal of the game.  Ten minutes later Scott completed the Natural Hat Trick with his team shorthanded.  Deflecting the puck away from a Panthers defenseman in the Little Flyers zone, Scott won the race to the puck, fought off a defenseman and scored his league leading 5th shorthanded goal of the season.  Just over two minutes later the Little Flyers increased their lead to 4-0 on Patrick Swain’s third goal of the season, Dylan Frasher picked up an assist on the play.  With less than five minutes to play in the period, Mazzulo added to the lead when he deflected a Kyle Scott shot past the Panthers goaltender for his 8th goal of the year, Max McAllister assisted in the goal.  The final goal of the game came courtesy of Little Flyers Forward Luca Filocamo.  Defenseman Max McAllister carried the puck into the Panthers zone and fired a shot on net, the rebound came out to Nick Super, who found Filocamo for his first goal as a Little Flyer.  While the Little Flyers offense was the story of the third period, Creenan and the defense shut down the Panthers offense, stopping all 12 shots faced in the final twenty minutes of play.  Creenan made 31 saves in the game to pick up his 6th win of the season and second shutout.

The Little Flyers will be back on the road this weekend with two games against South Conference opponents.  On Saturday, the team will travel to New Jersey to face off against the Wildcats.  The Little Flyers will end the weekend against the first place Jr.Flyers in West Chester,PA.
