Aston, PA — On Monday afternoon, Little Flyers Eastern Hockey League Head Coach and General Manager George Lewis, announced that EHL Premier Forward Kyle Scott, has been promoted to the EHL team for the remainder of the season. “Kyle has shown he can compete at this level, playing a game earlier in the season against one of the top teams in the league.  In addition to that, he’s skated with us at practices and has dominated the EHLP as a young guy.  This is a great move for the team for both short and long term. He’s earned the opportunity” said Little Flyers EHL GM/Head Coach George Lewis.

Scott, a 1999 birth year Forward from Newark, Delaware currently ranks second in the Premier league in goals (31) and third in points with 50.  While Kyle Scott, is the first full time call up to the EHL team this season, the Little Flyers coaching staff of Lewis, Mark Catron (EHL Premier Head Coach) and Mike Narrigan (EHL Assistant Coach) have been monitoring player development at the Premier level within the organization.  In addition to Scott, three other players from the Little Flyers Premier team have seen action at the EHL level this season including Captain Ryan Sharkey, Nate Dunning and Eric Maard.  Goaltender Ryan Creenan served as a backup for the EHL team earlier in the season while several other players have been invited to practice with the organizations top team.  “Coach Catron has done a really good job with both groups, but the job he has done getting guys from the Premier level ready for the EHL level is second to none in that league.  We work well together and our staff trusts him when he says certain guys are ready for a chance and we’re willing to give it. The opportunity for guys to practice and play with the EHL team has tremendously benefited the whole group. We’re fortunate to have two good teams with plenty of good players and we hope the ladder of development continues” said Lewis when asked about the benefits of the two team system.

The Little Flyers EHL team will be back in action Wednesday, January 10th on Home ice at IceWorks Skating Complex for a game against their cross town rival Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, game time is set for 12:00PM.  All the action can be seen live on HockeyTV.
