Aston, PA – On Thursday, Philadelphia Little Flyers EHL Head Coach and General Manager Mark Catron announced that Defenseman Nick Daluisio (Aston, PA) and Defenseman Zikmund ‘Ziki’ Mroz (Praque, CZE) have been named Captains for the 2018-19 season.  The Little Flyers are coming off their third straight appearance in the EHL Frozen Finals.  In addition to Mroz and Daluisio, Philadelphia returns three players from last season’s EHL team, Defenseman Cade Street, Forward Kyle Scott and Goaltender Brendahn Brawley.  There are also two familiar faces on the back end in Nate Dunning and Max McAllister who played on the Premier Team last year.  “Naming Ziki and Nick captains for the EHL team was a pretty easy decision, Ziki is in his third year of Junior Hockey in the EHL and Nick is a leader in that locker room” said Catron on naming the pair Captains. “Our returners are mostly defenseman which leaves a pretty young core of forwards.  Nick and Ziki have a lot of experience that can help these guys coming in from lower level juniors and youth hockey to do things the right way, be held accountable and work hard up to the standards of our program” concluded Catron. 

                Zikmund Mroz, a 6’3” 1998 birth year defenseman from Praque, Cze is in his third full season with the Little Flyers EHL team.  In 94 Career games, Mroz has scored 19 goals and registered 41 assists including two game winning goals.  “This is a great honor to be named a captain of this Little Flyers team, for me it means having to step up as a leader and set a good example for the younger guys on and off the ice.  I know I have to work real hard to show the young guys what it’s going to take for our team to have success” said Mroz upon being named captain. 

                Nick Daluisio, a 6’2” 1998 birth year defenseman from Aston, PA is in his second full season with the Little Flyers EHL team but grew up playing as a member of the youth organization.  In 51 games last season, Daluisio scored four goals and handed out 11 assists.  “Being named Captain means a lot to me, I grew up in this organization playing youth hockey and I watched it grow from a smaller junior program to now one of the best junior programs in the country.  My family is happy, I’m happy and I’m ready to see where this team can go.  Having a year under my belt helps, there are guys in our locker room that are making the jump to Juniors that I know me, Ziki and some of our other vets can help out as the season goes on” said Daluisio when asked about what being named Captain means to him.
