Three More Cyclones Sign Their Commitments

Nick Lefave, Dylan Bengston, and Matt Salera have made their selections

The Northern Cyclones have announced that three of their players from this past season have signed their commitment letters for this upcoming fall.

EHL Defenseman, Nick Lefave has committed to the Southern New Hampshire University for the Fall of 2015. Lefave spent four seasons with the Cyclones and played in a total of 115 games. (Complete Story)

EHL Forward, Dylan Bengston has committed to the University of New England for the Fall of 2015. Bengston tallied 13 points in 12 regular season games for the Cyclones, and then added 11 points in 11 playoff games last post-season. (Complete Story)

EHL Defenseman, Matt Salera has committed to the Suffolk University for the Fall of 2015. Salera played in 36 regular season games and 9 playoff games for the Cyclones this past season. The 1994-born defenseman tallied 9 total points (6 in the regular season, 3 in the playoffs). (Complete Story)

The three latest Northern Cyclones commitments, bring their total to 12 for the 2014-2015 season.

Blackhawks Extend Trevor van Riemsdyk Through 2017-'18

After a solid 2014-'15 season, Trevor van Riemsdyk (former New Hampshire Junior Monarch), has signed a two-year extension with the Chicago Blackhawks and is now under contract through the end of the 2017-’18 season. The contract is a one-way deal, and will account for an annual cap hit of $825,000. TVR is part of a solid defensive core in Chicago that also includes, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Niklas Hjalmarsson, David Rundblad, and the newly acquired Trevor Daley from the Dallas Stars. The Blackhawks will enter the upcoming season as strong contenders to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions.

TVR is not the only former Monarch who signed a deal this off-season, as Brian Dumoulin also re-signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Dumoulin's new deal keeps him in Pittsburgh through the 2016-'17 season.

Filippone Commits to Wentworth for the fall of 2015

EHL Forward Paul Filippone will be joining WIT

Paul Filippone, a former forward for the Boston Bandits, has committed to the Wentworth Institute of Technology for the Fall of 2015. Filippone tallied 4 goals and 17 assists this past season, for a total of 21 points.
