In charge of all coaching, recruiting, school placement and billeting of players for the Midget team. Records of 36-19-6 and 38-15-7 over the two seasons. Duties also included running practices for USHL team with Head Coach Charlie Skjodt, working special teams and systems.

Head Coach - Seguin Bruins Jr. A  OPJHL
Promoted to the Seguin Bruins by the Indiana Ice. The Seguin Bruins were the Ice's affiliate team in the OPJHL. Replaced Head Coach with a 3-15-1 record in last place. In 31 games, finished 14-16-1 and made playoffs.

I was in charge of running morning skill sessions for Head Coach, Charlie Skjodt. 17 of teams 23 players were pre/post age. Duties included all individual skill work, power skating, team oriented drill work. Became on ice coach for special teams and systems work.

Dave Dorman Midget 18U Head Coach

Coach Dorman enters his second season behind the bench for the Little Flyers 18U program where in year one he led the team to a 22-0-2 record in AYHL play.  Coach Dorman grew up playing hockey in the Greater Philadelphia area. He attended the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts where he starred as a three sport varsity athlete, participating in hockey, baseball and soccer. Upon graduating from Berkshire, Coach Dorman spent a post-graduate year at Wyoming Seminary School where he was team captain and team MVP, before continuing his career with a year of Junior A hockey and finally finishing his playing experience at NCAA Neumann University of the ECAC West.

A USA Hockey Advanced (Level 4) Certified Coach, Dave began his coaching career leading the Tier II West Chester Quakers to an Atlantic District Championship. In his second year of coaching the Quakers, he led his team to another Atlantic District Championship and a Bronze Medal at the USA Hockey National Tournament. The following season, Coach Dorman took over a young Atlantic Junior Hockey League junior program. In his first season, he led the team to a 31-11 record and a 3rd place finish in the MJHL. In his second season he coached the team to a 33-5-0-5 record which led to Coach Dorman's second appearance at a USA Hockey National Tournament in just four years of his young coaching career. After leading a Jr. A Team to a playoff berth in their inaugural season, Coach Dorman again stepped behind the youth hockey bench, this time leading his Little Flyers U16AAA team to an Atlantic District Silver Medal finish and his Bantam minor AAA Little Flyers team to an Atlantic District Championship.

 

For the past 5 seasons Coach Dorman has coached at the NCAA level with Neumann University, the Tier I AAA level, and has led the program at Malvern Preparatory School as the Varsity Head Coach and program Director.

Coach Dorman has successfully helped to develop a number of NHL players, NCAA College, and NHL Draft Picks throughout his career running his hockey development company, DD Hockey, LLC. His passion for the game is credited to the many great coaches he has played under throughout his career. Dorman's coaching philosophy rests on his belief that character development through sports is the greatest opportunity an athlete can have, and he constantly strives to pass his expertise, passion, and pride along to his players.

Tom Sullivan 18U Head Coach

Tom Sullivan is a USA Hockey-certified Level 5 coach who enters his fifth season coaching with the Little Flyers.  During the 2019-20 season, Coach Sullivan led the Little Flyers 16U National team to a 2nd place AYHL finish at the Elite Level.  He played for four years at St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Ma where he captained the hockey team in his senior season. He then played in over 135 games at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. While at Holy Cross, he was also a rower on the Men’s Varsity Lightweight Crew and a U.S. Rowing All-American. Following his hockey career, he represented the United States as a member of the Men’s National Rowing team at multiple World Championships. He was inducted into the Holy Cross Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. During his high school and college careers, he was an instructor at several hockey camps, including Paul Vincent Elite Camp,the Brooks School Elite Camp, and Laura Stamm’s powerskating clinics. Locally, Coach Sullivan has coached Delco Phantoms to DVHL Championships at four different levels ( Squirt Patriot, Squirt AA, PeeWee A & PeeWee AA). Coach Sullivan's Little Flyers Little Flyers 2003 team made it to league playoffs at the Bantam Minor level. He emphasizes skill development and strives to create a positive team culture.

Craig Campagnolio - 16U National Head Coach

Craig Campagnolio comes to the Little Flyers Midget program after many successful years coaching at various different levels.  Most recently, Craig coached the Philadelphia Revolution EHL Premier team at the Junior level.  Prior to that, Craig was the head coach for the Mercer Chiefs 18U Tier 1 Program.  Craig’s successful playing career began locally in the Bucks County area before leaving to play in the USHL for the Des Moines Buccaneers, Sioux City Musketeers and Madison Capitols.  Craig played his college hockey at Northeastern University.  “Through my personal and professional experiences, I hope to instill the basic fundamentals and systems allowing each player to become a dedicated student of the game.  I believe using the game to teach the game will enable me to tap into the individual’s passion for hockey.  This will allow the player the most important opportunity – to have fun!

Tyler Moll- 16U American Head Coach

Coach Moll enters his first season with the Philadelphia Little Flyers' youth program. Last season, he served as head coach of the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 16U National Premier team. Moll also has experience coaching at the junior ranks. From 2015 through 2017, he spent his time as an assistant coach to the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers EHL and EHL Premier squads. Prior to the 2018-19 season, he was promoted to head coach of the Jr. Flyers’  EHL Premier team. Before beginning his coaching career, Moll played youth hockey from PeeWee through the Junior levels for the Valley Forge Minutemen and Philadelphia Jr. Flyers organizations. After graduating, he played for West Chester University's Division 1 team in the ACHA. Moll is also a Level 3 USA Hockey certified referee.

Dave Dorman- 15 Pure (2005)

Coach Dorman returns behind the bench for the 2005 Little Flyers team after a greatly improved 2019-20 season which saw the team go 10-13-2 and make the AYHL playoffs.  Coach Dorman grew up playing hockey in the Greater Philadelphia area. Rob Hennessey - Bantam Major 2006

Rob joins the Little Flyers Coaching Staff in 2020 after a very successful collegiate career that included winning a Division 1 National Championship at Providence College.  Rob, a local product from Garnet Valley enrolled at the Northwood School in 2010, at his time there, Rob was named an Assistant Captain in 2013 for his Junior Year and was the Captain of the team in 2014.  Rob was the recipient pf the Charles Holt Hockey Aware which is given to a player demonstrating the epitome of sportsmanship.  Moving onto college, Rob earned a scholarship to NCAA DI Providence College and joined the Friars in 2014.  In his Sophomore season, The Friars won the NCAA Division I Men’s National Championship.  He was named a Four-Time Hockey East Academic All-American, Hockey East Academic All-American All-Star team 2017 and Providence College Thomas Eccleston Jr. Unsung Hero Award recipient in 2017.  Rob got into coaching in 2010 while still in High School at Minnesota Hockey Camps.  During his time with the camps, Rob assisted NCAA Division I coaches to develop youth players and skills, developed practice plans for on ice sessions and mentored multiple eventual NCAA Division I and III players.

Jeremy Snyder - 2006 Assistant Coach

Jeremy will join the 2006 Coaching Staff alongside Head Coach Rob Hennessey for the 2020-21 season.  Jeremy had a successful career playing ACHA D1 Hockey at Towson University where he earned MVP honors in back-to-back seasons (2017 & 2018) while also being awarded Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 & 2017.  After his playing days were over, Jeremy jumped right into coaching with Tomorrow’s Ice 13U and 14U teams.  Jeremy also served as a skills instructor for the Junior Blue Hens in 2018.  


Jerry DiStefano Bantam Minor 2007

Jerry DiStefano enters his 3rd season as the Head Coach of the Little Flyers 2007 team.  Jerry grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and played for the Little Flyers AAA for most of his youth hockey career.  He also played for the Washington Little Capitals AAA and the Philadelphia Junior Flyers AAA.  Jerry played his high school hockey at Monsignor Bonner where he was a four-time Varsity All-Star and Captain of the school's only 2 Flyers Cup AAA Championship teams.  He received the Bobby Clarke Award as MVP of both championship tournaments and was selected to the Bauer All-Tournament Teams.  During his Senior year of high school, Jerry was selected for and participated in USA Hockey's Select 17 Camp in Lake Placid, NY, and was named the State of PA's Player of the Year.  He then attended and played at Merrimack College (NCAA Division I - Hockey East) until his hockey career was ended by injury early in his Freshman year.  Jerry has coached youth hockey for Archbishop Carroll High School, the Delco Dragons, and Delco Phantoms.  Jerry also coaches youth baseball and youth soccer in DE.

Larry Barretta - 2007 Assistant Coach

Larry Barretta Jr. is the Founder and Owner of Go Hard Hockey.  Larry grew up in Exton, Pa playing tier 1 in the area until his playing career ended at Penn State Berks ACHA Division 1.  Larry totaled 145 career points and was first team all conference his senior year at Berks.  After graduating with a Business Degree, he started his hockey school in 2016 and became the Head Coach of Penn State Berks in 2017.  Larry has also been the skills coach for Pottstown Penguins for 2017.  Larry is a level four USA hockey certified coach.

Jordan Grant enters his fourth season as the Little Flyers 2008 Head Coach.  The 2019-20 season saw the 2008 team go 14-9-3 in AYHL play and get into the playoffs by finishing first in the American Conference.  He played his entire minor hockey in Alberta, Canada.  He played for two years in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and subsequently played his collegiate hockey at Clarkson University in Division One of the NCAA.  He retired from playing hockey in 1998 and has coached hockey ever since.  Following his playing career he went on to the University of Pennsylvania and obtained his Dental degree.  In his spare time he spends time with his wife Jennifer and their three children. His hobbies include fitness training, golf, snow boarding and fishing in Ocean City, Nj. during the summer.  Coach Grant is currently a level 3 USA Hockey Certified Coach

Stephane Charbonneau - PeeWee Minor 2009

Stephane brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Little Flyers 2009 team.  He has coached at all levels from mite through Midget 16 Tier 1 as well as Varsity high school hockey.  Stephane is IceWorks Skating Complex General Manager and President of the Philadelphia Little Flyers Youth Organization.  During his playing days, Stephane logged his NHL playing time with the Quebec Nordiques. He was also in the Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals organizations and played seven years in the American Hockey League. Stephane also played professional roller hockey with the Philadelphia Bulldogs

Rocco Carzo - Squirt Major 2010

Rocco Carzo joins the Philadelphia Little Flyers Organization as a Head Coach fresh off of an 8 Year Pro Hockey Career in the AHL & ECHL.  Carzo is a lifelong Little Flyer, spending his youth hockey days wearing the black and orange.  After a successful half of season with the Little Flyers AtjHL team, Carzo left mid-season to join the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL.  After two successful seasons at the highest level of Junior Hockey in the United States, Carzo committed to UMass Amherst where he was a four year start, playing in 128 games in Amherst.  Carzo was named Captain of UMass Amherst in his senior season.  At the conclusion of his senior season, Carzo began his Professional Hockey Career, playing on a number of teams in his 8 year pro career, Florida Everblades (ECHL), Ontario Reign (ECHL), Norfolk Admirals (AHL), Missouri Mavericks (ECHL), San Diego Gulls (AHL), Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL), and finishing up with the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL where he has been the Captain since 2018.  With Carzo retiring from Professional Hockey, he wants to begin his coaching career with the organization that helped him accomplish so much in his playing days, Carzo plans to develop and teach his players through his experiences playing at the top level in each aspect of hockey.

Ken Deming - Girls 19U Head Coach

Ken joins the Little Flyers Coaching Staff after establishing the University of Delaware Women’s Hockey Team as one of the top ACHA women’s programs in the country, being ranked #1 in the ACHA Eastern Region for the 2017-18 season.  With Deming behind the bench, the Blue Hens qualified for Nationals seven years in a row while compiling a 58-17-3 as the head coach.  Currently, Ken is running Hockey Operations and Recruiting for the University of Delaware Women’s Hockey Team, he assists with recruiting potential players, setting up facility tours and supporting potential players and parents through the process with his wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to Women playing College hockey.  Ken is also a Level 3 USA Hockey Official.

Jordan Grant - Girls 16U Head Coach

Enters his third season with the Little Flyers girls program.  He played his entire minor hockey in Alberta, Canada.  He played for two years in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and subsequently played his collegiate hockey at Clarkson University in Division One of the NCAA.  He retired from playing hockey in 1998 and has coached hockey ever since.  Following his playing career he went on to the University of Pennsylvania and obtained his Dental degree.  In his spare time he spends time with his wife Jennifer and their three children. Rich Black - Girls 16U Assistant Coach

Rich will join Jordan Grant in coaching the 16U Little Flyers Girls for the 2020-21 season, In 2019 Rich joined the Philadelphia Little Flyers to coach the girls 19U team who had a very successful season in both league and showcase play.   Prior to joining the Little Flyers, Rich had a successful run at the Tier II level with the Delco Phantoms which resulted in a National appearance in 2014.  Rich has Tier I coaching experience with the Valley Forge Minutemen 16AAA program.  Rich is a level 4 USAH Coach.  


Sal Viola - Girls 14U Head Coach

Coach Viola has been involved with ice hockey as a player & coach for a total of 40 years.  Growing up, Coach Viola played hockey in South Jersey with the Gladiators organization out of Voorhees, NJ and then continued playing through college and finished with the BC Icemen out of Binghamton, NY who were members of the UHL.  In 2004 Sal began coaching youth ice hockey at the club and high school levels.  Coach Viola just completed his 10th season coaching with the Delco Phantoms with an emphasis on skill development, understand of the game, team work along with other core values.  Coach Viola is currently a level 4 USA Certified Coach

Matt DeNucci - Girls 12U Head Coach

Matt returns to the Little Flyers for his second season as the head coach of the Philadelphia Little Flyers 12U Girls team.  Matt has been coaching hockey for five years, starting with Atoms in 2015.  In addition to coaching the Little Flyers 12U Girls team, Matt also coaches the Middle School team at Marple Newtown and severs as the President of the Marple Newton Ice Hockey Club.  Coach DeNucci is a USA Hockey CEP Level 4.  In the Spring you can find Matt on the soccer field coaching girls elite level soccer where he is a U.S. Soccer National E License and has been coaching since 2011.

Lauren Cusack - Girls 12U Assistant Coach

Lauren is in her first year with the Little Flyers organization.  After a four year playing Career at Neumann University, Lauren jumped right into coaching, taking the position as an assistant coach with the Knights NCAA Women’s team.  Lauren’s daily coaching responsibilities for Neumann include creating and facilitating on and off ice practices, team workouts and functions as well as take care of the administrative necessities for the program and its players.  While playing at Neumann from 2012-2016, Lauren served as an Assistant Captain in her senior season and was an All-American Academic Team Member in 2014, 2015 & 2016.  While at Neumann University obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Lauren not only played on the NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey team, she also served as the Captain of Neumann Women’s Golf Team from 2014-16. 

 


Philippe Lebel Girls 12U Assistant Coach

Philippe Lebel is making his debut as a Little Flyers Assistant Coach for the 12U girls team.  Growing up in Quebec City area (Canada), Philippe was a multi-sport athlete and focused on football and hockey.  He played his entire minor hockey in Quebec, including two years of Junior Hockey.  In college, Philippe shifted his focus to football, playing receiver for the Redmen of McGill University in Montreal, Canada where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.  Following his playing career, he attended Golden Gate University and Villanova University where he earned an MBA and a Master in Applied Statistics.   In his spare time, Philippe enjoys spending time with his wife Marie-Eve and their two daughters Juliette and Eva.  His hobbies include CrossFit training, playing hockey, traveling and watching his girls play sports.  Coach Philippe is currently a level 2 USA Hockey Certified Coach. 


Mike Clevens - Girls 10U Head Coach

Mike Clevens returns for his second season with the Little Flyers Girls Program as coach of the 10U girls team.  In his first season behind the bench, Clevens led the Girls 10U team to a MAWHA Playoff appearance. Mike is a native of Delaware County and started his playing career at The Haverford School.   Mike has been involved in coaching teams and instructing clinics for over five years, and has been coaching girls hockey for two years, at the 8U, 14U and 16U level. Mike is one of 75 participants who have completed USA Hockey’s only symposium on Skill Development in Female Athletes, and is a level three USA Hockey Certified Coach. Mike and his wife Tracy reside in Wilmington, DE with their three daughters, all hockey players.

Stephanie Beaman - Girls 10U Assistant Coach

Coach Beaman returns to the Little Flyers for her 2nd season as a coach for the 10U Little Flyers Girls team.  Prior to joining the Little Flyers staff, Stephanie coached at the University of Delawarein the Spring and Summer programs before moving to the Chester County Cougars where she coached PeeWee National and Bantam National teams throughout her three seasons with the organization.  Coach Beaman also coached the Wilmington Nighthawks Elementary team for three seasons before becoming the head coach of the 8U Nighthawks for four years.  Stephanie is a USA Hockey Level 5 Coach, Level 1 USA Hockey Referee and has a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware.

Josh returns to the Little Flyers for his 2nd season as a coach for the 10U Little Flyers Girls team.  Josh grew up playing hockey as a goaltender in Massachusetts for club hockey and in the Longmeadow School System in Western Massachusetts.  Josh began coaching with the Delco Phantoms Girls 12U team as an assistant coach.  This past season, Josh served as an assistant coach on the 10U staff as well as the Quakers 10U Boys team.  Josh is a Level 3 USA Hockey Coach as well as a USA Hockey Goaltending Bronze.   


Kristina Guarino Coen - Girls 10U Assistant Coach

Kristina joins the Little Flyers Girls 10U Coaching Staff for the 2020-21 season as an Assistant Coach.  During her playing days at Division I Dartmouth College, where she was a Two-time Captain, Two-time Ivy League Champion, 2001 ECAC Champion, Frozen Four Finalist, Three-time Academic All-Ivy Honors, Dartmouth Class of 1948 Scholar-Athlete Award Winner and USA Hockey Women’s National Festivals participant in Lake Placid throughout.  After a successful playing career, Kristina jumped right into coaching where she was an Assistant Coach at her Alma Mater Dartmouth from 2002-2005 where the team made three straight Frozen Four appearances, Won the 2003 ECAC Championship and the Ivy League Title in 2004.  After Dartmouth, Kristina was the Head Coach at Upland Country Day School for the Women’s Ice Hockey team from 2005-2010.  Most recently, Kristina has been developing players at the younger levels, coaching both mites and squirts since 2016.    


Darrell Fauver - 8U Girls Head Coach

Darrell, a Little Flyers alum in his playing days, enters his second season with the Little Flyers Girls 8U program as the Head Coach.  After playing for the Lehigh Calley Comets Junior team, Darrell played his college hockey at Drexel University where he was named League MVP in 2000.  After his playing days, Darrell jumped right into coaching with the Atlantic District 87’s, Little Flyers Bantam, Drexel University, Jr. Flyers Midget 16U and also served as a scout for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL.

Shane Porter - Girls 8U Head Coach

Shane returns to the Little Flyers Coaching Staff for his second season with the Girls 8U program.  For the past five seasons, Shane has been instrumental in developing youth hockey players at the Mite level, coaching the Delco Dragons, Garnet Valley and Little Flyers.  Shane is also an instructor for the Learn to Play Program and Spring/Summer Mite Clinics.  Shane is currently a CEP level 3 Coach within USA Hockey.
