Aston, PA --  Four current Little Flyers players will experience the most prestigious Pee-Wee hockey tournament in the world later this year.   2010 Little Flyers Forward Bronx Bess, Forward Matthew DeNucci, Defenseman Ethan Holmes and Goaltender Jackson Toscano will all suit up for the Hershey Jr. Bears Quebec tournament team in February.  “We’re all very proud of the four boys for putting in the work over the past several years to be able to play in the Quebec International Pee-Wee tournament.  It is such an honor and an experience to be a part of.  I hope they continue to work hard and take time to enjoy everything the tournament has to offer in the great city of Quebec” said Little Flyers 2010 Head Coach Rocco Carzo.

This year’s tournament will take place February 8th – 19th 2023.  The players were selected to the team after an extensive tryout period in the Summer of 2022.  Since the team was selected, players have been following an intense training program with practices in June, July and August.  Throughout the season the team has been getting together once a week for practices, games and additional training sessions to be prepared to hit the ice in February.

The Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament has been played for over 60 years in Quebec City.  Founded in 1959 by Gerard Bolduc, the tournament was integrated with the festivities of Carnaval de Quebec.  The biggest names in hockey have played in the tournament including Brad Park, Guy Lafleur, The Gretzky and Howe Brothers, Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, Steven Stamkos and hundreds of more NHLers.  In addition to letting thousands of kids live the dream, the tournament has always had the Patro Roc-Amadour foundation at heart. In 50 years, the tournament donated more than $2.1 million. It is in the Patro Roc-Amadour that the tournament has its Temple of Friendship. In it, you can find photos and trophies that have marked the tournament's history.
